Here are the rules for this Semi-Contact Canadian Championship

14 to 17 years (All Belts)
- Head Gear is a must
- Gloves is a must
- Combat Gear
- Mouthpiece
- Hard-shelled protection (strongly recommended)

Illegal Blows (Not allowed)
- Straight blow to the face
- Straight blow to the back
- Kick to the face
- Blows to the crotch (groin)
- Blows to articulate parts of the body
- Striking the opponent while he is down on the floor
- Open Hand technique (shuto)
- Interlocking – Sweeping
- Knee blows - All vicious blows
- Low kicks to the legs

If any of the above- mentioned blows are used, the competitor will receive a first warning, if there is a second warning or if the blow was judged to being intentional there will be an automatic disqualification.

Allowed Blows

- Body Blows (fist & foot)

15 yrs +

- Low kicks to the legs permitted

Duration of Combat : 2min, Duration of Kumite : 1min & 30sec
Extension : 1min.

RULES & REGULATIONS

FIGHTERS CHECK IN AND WEIGH - IN;

The weigh - in will be held Friday night (March 25th, 2011) between

6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at: Sheraton Laval

Junior Preliminaries / Senior Preliminaries:

Consists of one (1) round of two (2) minutes no extensions.

Junior Finals / Seniors Finals:

Consists of one (1) round of two (2) minutes with one (1) minute

extension if necessary, two (2) extensions maximum.

***Shin & Instep, and head gear are obligatory, mouth

piece and breast cup are permitted only.***

Adult Preliminaries:

Consists of one (1) round of two (2) minutes with one (1)

extension if necessary. Decision must be given.

Adult Finals:

Consists of one (1) round of 2 (two) minutes with two (2) minute

extensions if necessary with a maximum of two (2) extensions.

If there is still no declared winner a decision will be based upon

the weight. The lighter of the two fighters by 10lbs will be

declared the winner. If there is still no difference, one (1) final

round of two (2) minutes will be held.
