CANADIAN YOUNG LIONS CAMP

Date: Participant will arrive at the “Tremblays’ Young Lions Camp”on Friday evening on June 28, 2002. Friday night is a free night, to set up camp (tents, cabins, etc), get aquaited with the surroundings, read over camp rules, etc.

Training Schedule for Young Lions Camp 2002:
For the second year in a row Tom Flynn, Shihan will be teaching sessions! This year Tom, Shihan will be bringing his wife Toni, Sensei, so it should be more informative and fun than last year. We hope to see you all there!

Training will start on Saturday, June 29, 2002, and will be 3 training sessions during the day:  

Session 1:
8:00 am. - 10:00 am. :
Kihon - Ido Geiko (Te & Ashi)

10:00 am - 11:00 am. : Break

Session 2 :
11:00 am. - 1:00 pm. :
Kihon - Ido Geiko, Sanbon & Ippon Kumite

1:00 pm. - 3:00 pm. : Break 

Session 3 :
3:00 pm. - 5:00 pm. :
Keriwaza (concentrated - Yonju Go Dai patterns and multiple angle drills, finer points of multiple kick - stance proficiency)

    The formal training will stop at 5:00 pm, if people want to work on personal training areas we will be willing to do so - both days - hopefully they will.

June 30, 2002:

Session 1:
8:00 am - 10:00 am. : Kata (from the beginning, covering finer points in embusen and waza application)


10:00 am - 11:00 am. : Break
 
Session 2 :
11:00 am. - 1:00 pm. :
Bunkai for Taikyoku and Pinan kata

1:00 pm. - 3:00 pm. : Break 

Session 3 :
3:00 pm. - 5:00 pm. :
Goshin Jitsu

July 01, 2002:

Session 1:
8:00 am - 10:00 am. : Participant topics gathered from days 1 & 2 and joint wrap-up.


 

Place: Moberly Lake, Chetwynd, British Columbia, Canada (about an hour and twenty minutes from Dawson Creek).

What you need to bring:

- Bedding (pillows, blankets)

- Soap, Shampoo, Face clothes, Towels, There Are Only Two Showers In Camp

- Water Bottle, Hat, Sunglasses, Bug Repellent, Sun Screen

- Jacket, One Pair Of Running Shoes, One Pair Of Water Shoes, Two Dogis

- Emergency Contact Phone Numbers
