June 28, 2002

The students  give a good demonstration of their ability and the knowledge acquired during  their training in Kyokushin Karate.  Congratulation to all the students who pass to the next level and I encourage them to keep up with their training. Thank you to the students who helped with the video camera and also assisted Sensei Angel Carrasco with the test. OSU!

December 2, 2001, January 25, 2002

The student give their first try, on December 2, 2001 it was a good effort that they put into their test, and they did an excellent demonstration of spirit when they perform their Kumite. However, they did not perform as well as they should on their Kata performance. So they were asked to do a retest on January 25, 2001, as reminder that in order to pass a grade the students not only must perform well in fighting but also on all the others aspects according to their requirements. On their retest they did a good performance with their Katas, which allowed them to pass to their next level on their grade.  Congratulation to all of them. OSU!

Promotion Test Result
June 15-22, 2001

The students gave a good effort in their test and tried hard to give not only a good demonstration of good technique and power, but also a demonstration of the spirit of OSU!  They demonstrated this by completing and passing a three hour test on June 15 and June 22, 2001. They were asked to demonstrate their KIhon, Idogeiko, Renraku, Goshin Jitsu, Katas, and of course at the end, all those basic skills were tested when they perform their Kumites. They all fought with the true Kyokushin spirit.  Nearly passing out several times, they continued their test until the end. This test was a good opportunity for the student to test not only their physical, but also their mental strength.  I am very proud with the way they did.  When I look back to when they first walked into the dojo and compare them to now,  I can see the huge improvement not only physically but also mentally.  They have learned many life skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives.  To those who did not make it this time I hope they keep refining their techniques so they can be ready for the next test. I am proud to have all of them as students. Osu!

September 29, 2000

The students did a good performance of their skill on September 29th. They had the chance to show their teacher that they have the ability, the skills and maturity to wear the next belt. Congratulations to all the students who pass and also I would like to encourage the student who did not make it this time to keep training hard. Thank you all of you for taking the challenge and being there. Also I would like to thank you, Sensei Beltran and Senpai Kris for helping me with the test. OSU!
