The International Organization of Kyokushinkan Karate-Do (Kancho Hatsuo Royama, 9th Dan) and the Russian Kyokushinkan Karate-Do Federation, are organizing this World tournament on September 10 & 11, 2005, in Moscow – Russia. This Tournament is open to any Kyokshin Group and others. 189 fighters from 37 countries, representing many different Kyokushin Groups will get together to compete among the best Kyokushin fighters in the world and determine the strongest fighters. Also will be competition on Kata and Tameshiwari.

Kumite: fights till the determination of winners

September 11 (Sunday)
9 a.m. - Gathering of competitors and referees in the Luzhniki Sports Palace
11 a.m. - Tournament Opening Ceremony. Competitors' Parade
11.40 a.m. - Tameshivari (Kumite and Kata competitors)
12.20 p.m. - Show
12.40 p.m. - Demonstration of forbidden and allowed techniques. Explanation of scores given by referees
12.50 p.m. - Start of semifinal fights
1.30 p.m. - Start of Kata competitions: voluntary program
2.30 p.m. - Start of bouts for the third place

KUMITE DIVISIONS

The divisions are as follows:

  1. KUMITE Competitions by the rules of International Kyokushinkan Karate-Do Organization

     
    MALE DIVISIONS
    LIGHT WEIGHT MIDDLE WEIGHT HEAVY WEIGHT

    70 kg. & under

    71 kg. to 80 kg.

    Over 80 kg.

     

  2. KATA Competitions by the rules of International Kyokushinkan Karate-Do Organization

    Among Men and Women (above 18 years old)

    Obligatory program: Gekisai Sho

    In case of equal scores in the obligatory program the performance of a new Kata different from that already performed by the competitors will be designated.

    Voluntary program (1 Kata at option): Kanku, Seipai, Saifa, Sushiho, Garyu or Seienchin.

    Tameshiwari results will be taken into account should the competitors receive the same scores in the voluntary program.

    Should the winner be not determined again due to the equal scores received by competitors, the performance of a Kata different from that already performed by the competitors will be designated.

    Admission to competitions will be granted to those athletes who have qualification not less than 1st kyu and have passed the medical examination in the medical exercises dispensary.

    All participants of the KUMITE competitions are obliged to have the personal protective equipment, determined by the Competitions Rules.

    In case of violation of any of the abovementioned items an athlete will be excluded from the competition.

NOTE:

Accommodation as well as three meals a day for all countries’ team members. One country team can consist up to 12 persons (KUMITE participants - 9 persons (3 persons in each of 3 weight categories) + KATA participants - 2 persons (1 man and 1 woman) + 1 head of the delegation).

Other team members (trainers, seconds, doctors etc.) and accompanying persons pay for hotel accommodation and meals on special reduced prices.
 

TICKETS ENTRY FEES VIP-Tickets for the two days event: 3000 rubles, approximate $100.00 US Dollars.

Regular Tickets:

The cost of the tickets for September 10 (preliminary fights and qualifications in Kata)
Class 01 – 250 roubles (around $8.00 US dollars)
Class 02 – 250 roubles (around $8.00 US dollars)
Class 03 – 150 roubles (around $5.00 US dollars)
Class 04 – 100 roubles (around $3.50 US dollars)

The cost of the tickets for September 11 (semi-finals and finals)
Class 01 – 450 roubles (around $15.00 US dollars)
Class 02 – 300 roubles (around $10.00 US dollars)
Class 03 – 250 roubles (around $8.00 US dollars)
Class 04 – 100 roubles (around $3.50 US dollars)

The tickets may be purchased in the ticket agencies of “Luzhniki” sport palace (tel.: (095) 201-15-62, 201-15-36).

Delivery of the tickets within the city of Moscow may be ordered at the Internet sites of the official agents of the Championship.
